Summary This position is located at Fort Huachuca Family & Morale, Welfare and Recreation: Barnes Field House. This is a Flexible position 0 guaranteed hours, but could work between 0-40 hours per week, and with no eligibility to participate in the NAF Employee Benefits Plans.. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Duties Serves as a Facility Aid in a Fitness Facility. Works under the direction of the Facility Manager. Assists the Facility Manager in the overall operation of a fitness facility. Circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory: provides information and general instruction on the use of equipment, facilities, and machinery. Assists in setting up for instructors, contractors, events, athletic activities, and related functions. Performs facility cleanliness and/or monitors contracts. Assists with publicity of programs and events and assists with the delivery and placement of posters, flyers and other promotional material. Issues/receives equipment to authorized users. Monitors fitness equipment condition; tracks maintenance and repair or replacement as appropriate. Cleans and performs minor maintenance on facility equipment. Requirements Conditions of employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. Appointment subject to favorable suitability determination. Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation. Must possess the following within 6 months of employment: MWR Orientation Course, Customer Service. Must be willing and able to work Days, Nights, Weekends, and all Federal Holidays. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Possesses related work experience that includes the demonstrated ability to perform the duties of position as indicated above. Education This position does not have an education substitution. Additional information Area of Consideration This job is open to candidates who reside within 80 miles of Fort Huachuca. (Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.) Allowances and Differentials This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
