Summary This position is located in the Bureau of Trade Analysis (BTA), Office of the Managing Director (OMD), Federal Maritime Commission (FMC or Commission). The Bureau plans, develops, and administers programs and activities in connection with competitive practices of ocean common carriers, marine terminal operators, and ocean transportation intermediaries as reflected, where appropriate, in their agreements, tariffs, and service contracts in the foreign commerce of the United States. Qualifications You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement: Specialized Experience You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Evaluating complex industry trends and conditions; Analyzing and evaluating issues related to compliance and the maritime supply chain; and Researching, analyzing, and drafting sections of annual reports, agency budgets, performance, and accountability reports, as well as provide input to external reports. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
