Summary

Duties
You will act as the HVAC equipment mechanic foreman in the absence of the shop supervisor.
You will review work order requirements reflecting systems, parts, and assembles to be repaired, modified, or installed.
You will lead perform installation, repair, and maintenance of large commercial and industrial ventilation, air conditioning (AC), and cooling systems with complex problems and extensive repairs.
You will lead and perform installation, modification, overhaul, repair, and maintenance on a variety of complex heating boilers and/or heating systems, single and multiple fuel power boilers, and associated auxiliary and pollution control equipment.
You will lead and perform essential electrical work incidental to the maintenance and operation of HVAC/R systems.
You will utilized safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment.

This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
You will be required to possess and maintain at all times a CFC/NCFC certification (Universal) as required by 40 CFR Part 82, subpart F., EPA.
You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
You will be required to possess and maintain a current valid United States driverβs license.
Qualifications
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: the ability to lead in performing common tasks including serving as a work leader over crews of the HVAC crafts, installing, maintaining, repairing, and modifying large/ complex heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems and support equipment including mechanical system controls and distribution lines.

This position requires to have visual acuity and accurate color discrimination to distinguish between colors and shades of colors.
This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
