Located in the Valley of Sun in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona, GCU is a regionally accredited, private, nondenominational Christian University.
Grand Canyon University is seeking an Academic Affairs Project Manager. The Academic Affairs Project Manager manages and executes a wide variety of projects by developing and monitoring project timelines and progress, and taking necessary actions to complete project requirements. This position collaborates with internal and external campus partners to achieve project goals, often managing multiple projects at once. The Academic Project Manager requires vast institutional knowledge regarding history, policy, roles and responsibilities, and processes, as well as critical thinking, and communication skills.
This is a campus-based, in-office position and not eligible for remote work. Additionally, this is a writing-intensive position for which a writing sample may be requested.
What you will do:
• Oversee Academic Affairs projects by partnering with internal and external campus partners.
• Understand and communicate scope of project, gathers required information/documentation, and sees projects through to completion.
• Develop and continually manage project expectations with the key players/ stakeholders by identifying and resolving issues and adhering to project deadlines.
• Quickly shift priorities and manages unexpected changes to project scope.
• Communicate updates to department head regarding project timelines, changes, and/or additional requirements when needed.
• Interpret, communicate, and apply policies and procedures based on the needs of the project.
• Process and helps prepare data and reports
What you will need:
• Minimum of five years at Grand Canyon University.
• Master’s degree required.
• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
