The Position: We're looking for a Sales Account Executive -- Powertrain Machining Automation.

The Sales Account Executive -- Powertrain Machining Automation will analyze the market and develop order acquisition plans that align the Company's solutions to the Customer needs/success factors and implement sales strategies to achieve results. Proactively building customer relationships, analyzing opportunities, understanding the customer's needs and competition's sales strategy, and implementing winning sales plans.

Responsibilities:

In this role the ideal candidate will act as a network and think innovatively while executing the following responsibilities:

  • Develop a customer based sales business plan which drives the opportunity base and actions,
  • Analyze opportunities and develop a sales strategy to complete the sales cycle in a timely manner according to sales forecasting,
  • Be proactive in building customer relationships and develop a strategy to increase the support base where allies work on the Company's behalf,
  • Develop customer focused "power maps" to identify those who are at the center of influence and authority,
  • Work closely with the Proposal and Estimating and Engineering teams to ensure the solution provides the most competitive scenario and will yield the lowest cost result * Support weekly sales and proposal status review meetings and deliverables,
  • Manage sales leads and opportunities with the customer
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to achieve order acquisition targets,
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements:

This role is best suited for a candidate that possess the following qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Engineering, Technology or Business
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in automotive industry with knowledge of powertrain machining and manufacturing processes
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Customer Account Management
  • Knowledge of Powertrain Prismatics and metal cutting solutions
  • Experience with CNC Machines in a manufacturing production systems and processes,
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% (North American Region)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Certification in Engineering, Technology or Business
  • Experience with proposal and quote development
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes
  • Clear understanding of core business processes *
  • Knowledge of Salesforce
  • Established relationships within North American Automotive OEM's in Powertrain Machining
  • Cultural exposure and experience working with European colleagues is a plus
