Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in corporate accounting and be proficient in various accounting software. This role requires a solid understanding of financial concepts, GAAP, and regulatory reporting. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Duties
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Conduct account reconciliations, including balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Perform journal entries, including accrual accounting and double entry bookkeeping.
• Conduct financial analysis, cash flow analysis, and budgeting to support corporate finance decisions.
• Prepare regulatory reports and ensure compliance with SOX and securities law.
• Assist in auditing processes by providing necessary documentation and insights.
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, PeopleSoft, Sage, or Xero for efficient financial management.
• Mentor junior staff members in accounting practices and principles.
• Engage in non-profit accounting or governmental accounting as required by specific projects or clients.
• Provide insights through financial report writing and interpretation to support management decision-making.
Experience
• Proven experience in public accounting or corporate accounting is essential.
• Familiarity with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of technical accounting principles and financial management practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes.
• Experience with payroll processing and managing financial services is advantageous.
• Understanding of wills, trusts & estate law may be beneficial for specific client needs.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
