Role Overview: • Collect, record, summarize, and report accounting transactions consistent with generally accepted accounting principles for healthcare and not-for-profit entities. • Prepare reports, invoices, and grant-related financial documentation in line with compliance requirements. • Assist management with the maintenance of the chart of accounts and sub-systems of the general ledger. • Prepare financial information to be provided to internal and external auditors as well as other regulatory agencies. • Develop, maintain, and distribute ad-hoc reports as needed. • Provide cross-coverage assistance to other accountants in the General Accounting department by learning day-to-day functions and acting as a substitute periodically. • Support the financial management of grants, including monitoring expenditures, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with funding requirements. Key Qualifications: • Experience working in Accounting. • Experience with financial reporting, reconciling account discrepancies, and grant management. • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially in Excel; experience with accounting software applications is a plus.
