Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and be proficient in accounting software, enabling them to manage financial records accurately and efficiently. This role involves preparing financial reports, conducting cash flow analysis, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting the organization’s financial health and decision-making processes. Responsibilities • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with accounting principles. • Conduct cash flow analysis to monitor the organization's liquidity and financial stability. • Perform account analysis to ensure the integrity of financial data and identify discrepancies. • Utilize accounting software to manage financial transactions and streamline reporting processes. • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights into financial performance. • Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information for reporting purposes. • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies related to financial practices. • Provide support for audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries. Requirements • Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Strong understanding of financial concepts, including LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) if applicable. • Excellent written communication skills for effective financial report writing. • Ability to analyze complex financial data and present findings clearly. • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. • Previous experience in financial services or a similar role is preferred but not required.
