Your Role & ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for a new team member to take ownership of our core accounting functions. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Daily Banking & Reconciliation:Managing daily cash balances, bank reconciliations, and reviewing accounts payable.
• Financial Reporting:Producing monthly financial statements, trend analysis, and cash flow projections.
• Year-End Processes:Preparing financial paperwork for taxes, reports for our Board of Directors, and managing 401(k), ESOP, and bonus allocations.
• Tax Preparation:Preparing and filing various state, local, and federal forms, including 1099-NEC and 1099-MISC.
• Accounts Management:Acting as a backup for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
• Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules
• Payroll:Partner with HR to prepare and process bi-monthly payroll. Review payroll reports and coordinate journal entries for proper expense recognition and departmental allocations.
Required Experience & Skills
• A minimum of 5 years’ accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree (preferable in Accounting, Finance or Business), with demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles through coursework, certification, or relevant experience.
• A strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Direct experience with the architectural, engineering, or construction industry is highly valued.
• Strong proficiency with Ajera software is a significant plus.
• GL experience- GL analysis, month-end close, accruals and adjusting entries.
• Prevailing Wage reporting experience is a significant plus.
• Familiarity with Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOP) is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Compensation & Benefits
• Estimated annual salary range: $70,000 - $95,000, based on experience and ability.
