Job Title:Staff Accountant Job Type:Full-time Summary: Ledgestone Hospitality, LLC is a growing hotel management company responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of 35+ independently owned hotels nationwide. We are currently looking for Staff Accountant with strong multi-tasking and interpersonal skills to be responsible for the day-to-day financial duties for multiple hotels. Accuracy and timeliness in the completion of the workload is required in this position. We seek to find a self-motivated individual who thrives working in a fast-paced and friendly environment who has strong communication skills, good work ethic, and analytical thinking. This position reports to the Controller with daily interactions with owners, vendors, and hotel personnel. Specific Duties and Responsibilities: • For multiple companies, using Sage-Intacct (our cloud-based accounting software) and Microsoft Excel this position will: (1.) Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and other general ledger account reconciliations; (2.) Prepare monthly financial statements; (3.) Process accounts payable, prepare accounts payable checks, and match checks to invoices for mailing; (4.) Import daily sales journals and reconcile all revenues collected each day; (5.) Post journal entries • Interact with properties to ensure accurate accounting information and resolve any issues • Monitor cash balances and prepare cash flow analysis, as needed • Complete month-end closing processes • Assist in annual tax preparation and/or audit preparation with each properties CPA • Research any discrepancies, discuss any questions with the Controller and use judgement to identify possible fraud items • Directly interact with owners, vendors, and hotel personnel • Assist with annual budget process • Reconcile and file monthly, quarterly, and annual sales tax returns for multiple companies in various states • Answer the phone, as needed • Ensure that work area is clean, secure, and maintained • Complete special projects and miscellaneous assignments, as required • Additional duties as assigned by management Experience or Training Required: • Post-secondary education in Accounting or equivalent experience • Previous accounting experience • Multi-company accounting experience a plus Qualification Standards: • Knowledge of GAAP • Knowledge of federal and state tax regulations • Strong analytical, verbal, written, problem solving and interpersonal skills • Computer experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as a cloud-based accounting software (i.e., Sage Intacct, QuickBooks) • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have strong multi-tasking abilities • Ability to work independently and as a team • Ability to process work with accuracy Physical Requirements: • Stand for brief periods of time • Sit throughout shift • Stoop, kneel or crouch periodically • Must be able to communicate orally and hear to assist clients and co-workers • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds periodically • Must have the ability to review written documents and read information on the computer Job Type: Full-time Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Paid time off Schedule: • 8 hour shift • Monday to Friday Education: • Associate (Preferred) Experience: • accounting: 2 years (Required) Ability to Commute: • Gilbert, AZ 85295 (Required) Work Location: In person
