Job ID58982 LocationProfessional & Supervisory Full/Part TimeFull-Time Regular/TemporaryRegular ABOUT THIS POSITION Over 52 million passengers traveled through Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in 2024, one of the busiest airports in the country and in the nation's 5th largest city. Sky Harbor is the largest of three airports in the Phoenix Airport System (Phoenix Sky Harbor, Deer Valley, and Goodyear airports) which is operated by the City of Phoenix Aviation Department and has an economic impact over $44 billion annually. The Aviation Department has a vacancy for an Accounts Receivable (AR) Accountant I in the Financial Management Division. The purpose of this position is to provide customer service to internal/external customers of the Aviation department. This position will be responsible for posting customer payments, recording revenue and processing daily work from multiple Aviation divisions. This position will work closely with the Accountant I's, Accountant II's and Accountant III in FMD. Work is performed with independent judgment and general direction, and supervision is provided by the Accountant III. Major job responsibilities: • Process two-four lockboxes. • Analyze SAP customer accounts. • Create PCD's and customer refunds. • Mail monthly invoice and clear credits. • Complete credit card compliance training. • Auditing petty cash and change funds. • Posting of customer payments and revenue in SAP. • Review and process daily work from customer service counters. • Process billing received from Aviation division staff. • Prepare monthly imprest account bank reconciliations. • Maintain and update business procedures and policies. • Provide customer service via telephone and electronically. • Work with SAP software daily to input, review and process transactions. • Maintain SAP billing contracts and review/enter sales-based revenue reports. • Assist other Accountants as needed. IDEAL CANDIDATE • Knowledge of accounts receivable functions. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure. • Ability to be analytical, detail oriented, able to work independently, and contribute as a team player. • Familiarity with accounting transactions rules, regulations, and internal controls. SALARY Pay Range: $23.74 to $40.61 per hour. Hiring Range: $23.74 to $35.08 per hour.
