Position Overview The Accountant I is responsible for processing daily accounting transactions, assisting with reconciliation tasks, preparing the company payroll, and supporting the travel and expense program. Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions General Accounting • Prepare journal entries for general ledger accounts as assigned • Reconcile financial data with general ledger accounts and investigate any variances • Communicate cross functionally for inquiries on transactions or discrepancies • Provide necessary documentation for audits • Complete the internal control activities relevant to the processes performed Payroll Processing • Assist in the preparation of payroll • Work cross-functionally with the human resources team to verify the information captured is complete and accurate Support Travel and Expense program • On-board and off-board employees in the travel and expense program • Process the travel and expense submissions in compliance with the company's policies • Verify timely payment of the company's credit cards All other duties as assigned. Position Requirements Required • BA/BS degree in accounting, finance or other related field preferred, or relevant work experience • Must be proficient in Excel and able to learn new systems quickly • Ability to work independently and as part of a successful team • Ability to handle confidential employee information responsibly • Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Flexible to growing and changing processes • Highly organized, accountable and proactive with exceptional attention to detail and demonstrated analytical problem-solving skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred • 1+ year(s) of accounting or related experience is preferred Working Conditions Flexibility and willingness to work overtime during peak periods. The base salary range represents a minimum-to-maximum salary (or hourly rate) available to candidates upon extension of offer. Base salary is thoughtfully considered upon offer and is determined through multiple evaluation checks throughout the interview process, including: a candidate's ability to meet minimum qualifications (skills/experience/education), a candidate's ability to thoughtfully address preferred qualifications, current market conditions, and internal pay equity.
