Accountant IV

Position: Accounting Finance Transformation Lead Location: San Jose, CA Pay Rate: $50–$54 per hour Contract Duration: 6 months (with potential for extension) Work Schedule: Hybrid (Onsite Monday, Wednesday, Thursday; Remote Tuesday and Friday) Overview: Jefferson Wells is seeking an experienced Accounting professional to lead finance transformation initiatives, with a primary focus on Oracle Fusion ERP implementation and system automation projects. This role will serve as the accounting lead, managing cross-functional collaboration between business units and IT, and driving process improvements across financial operations. Proven track record in financial accounting software of ERP implementation and strong financial systems expertise. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and manage Oracle ERP implementation tracks from initiation through completion • Facilitate cross-functional meetings and provide regular status updates to stakeholders • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date project documentation • Define and support testing, training, cut-over, and contingency planning • Identify and mitigate project risks; support change management initiatives • Evaluate and improve existing accounting processes and workflows • Coordinate with global finance teams to harmonize operational accounting practices • Support post-implementation activities including training and issue resolution • Ensure compliance with SOX requirements and assist in developing internal controlsQualifications: • Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial and accounting operations • Proven track record in ERP implementations, particularly Oracle and SAP experience • Strong understanding of GAAP and SEC/financial reporting requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • Experience with end-to-end financial processes including procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, fixed assets, and general ledger • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPivot • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing prioritiesWhat’s in it for you: • Hourly rate of $50 to $54 an hour with Direct Deposit • Full-time, 6-month contract with potential to perm hire with full Medical, Dental, Vision and 401K Benefits as a W-2 employee Jefferson Wells (www.jeffersonwells.com) is a professional services firm delivering solutions in Finance & Accounting, Internal Audit, Risk & Compliance, and Tax.
