Accountant

Responsibilities of this Sr Accountant include: • Monitor daily cash activity, reconcile bank accounts, and review outgoing payments to ensure financial accuracy and liquidity • Compile monthly financial summaries, analyze performance trends, and develop forward-looking cash flow models to guide decision-making • Coordinate year-end documentation for tax filings, prepare reports for executive leadership, and manage allocations for retirement plans and performance-based incentives • Handle the preparation and submission of required federal, state, and local tax documents, including 1099 forms • Serve as a secondary resource for receivables and payables, ensuring continuity and coverage across the finance team • Maintain schedules for fixed assets and depreciation, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting • Partner with HR to execute payroll cycles, validate payroll data, and post journal entries for departmental expense distribution Minimum qualifications • 5+ years in a professional accounting role with a good grasp of GAAP • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred • Architecture, engineering, or construction is highly desirable • Familiarity with Ajera software is a strong advantage • Exposure to prevailing wage reporting and ESOP structures is a plus • Strong analytical mindset with a high attention to detail • Excellent communication and organizational skills • Ability to work independently yet collaboratively Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, and 401K plan.
