Accounting Associate (4 months contract)

Responsibilities:

• Verifying the accuracy of vendor bills before making weekly operational payments inclusive of staff claims
• Compiling requests for payments from various requestors and preparing payment lists
• Preparing payments in multiple currencies and uploading them to our banking/payment platforms to be processed
• Communicating with internal and external clients via email or Jira tickets, responding promptly to their requests, and answering any related queries
• Maintaining proper filing of soft and hard copy documents
• Compiling data for tax returns or submissions
• Applying payments to bills in the accounting system in a timely manner
• Assisting with other ad-hoc tasks 

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Finance / Accountancy or equivalent
• Ideally at least 1 year of working experience in Accounts Payable or General Accounting function, preferably familiar with working with multiple transaction currencies 
• Numerical proficiency and strong attention to detail
• Good understanding of Microsoft Office Suites, especially Excel
• Ability to communicate fluently in English 
• Experienced in using Netsuite or other ERPs would be a plus
