Accounting Associate - Anchorage Office

Job Description

The Seasonal Anchorage Accounting Associate will support the efficient operation of the company by assisting with a wide range of administrative and accounting functions. In addition, the Accounting Coordinator will also provide financial analysis and support as required.

Ideal dates of employment are May 1 - September 17, 2025.

Job Responsibilities

• Pulling daily sales for our properties and reconciling revenue.
• Banking and credit card reconciliations.
• Analyzing and preparing daily labor reports.
• Assisting with coding and vendor inquiries.
• Making journal or ledger entries.
• Partnering with other staff members to compile, analyze, and report financial data.
• Assisting with audits and identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Using bookkeeping software and entering information into company files or databases, ensuring that all financial records are complete and accurate.
• Assist in special projects and year end projects as requested.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in accounting is desirable.
• Some college is preferred.
• Knowledge of any financial Software is preferred.
• Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office
• Proven working experience as Accounts Receivable Clerk, Accounts Receivable Manager or accountant
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
• Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software
