Accounting Associate

We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our team in Scottsdale, AZ. Preferably candidate will have some knowledge of automotive dealership operations and possibly experience using CDK DMS. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the eagerness to learn and grow in the automotive accounting field. We are looking for someone who goes the extra mile, takes initiative, and is willing and ready to cross-train throughout the department. Daily tasks will vary but knowledge of the following are preferred. · Billing process – Finalize deals, trade payoffs, Inventory GL, Vehicle AR · Basic Arizona title and registration requirements (Etitle) · Mid-level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel specifically) · Strong understanding of debits/credits and journal entries and adjustments. · Floorplan – Payoffs, Dealer Trades transfers This is a full-time, in-office position that requires additional hours during month end close. The accounting team is expected to be in office on the first day of the month – weekends and holidays included. Certain positions may require additional time commitments to month end close. Please be mindful of this schedule requirement when applying. Requirements • Proven experience in the accounting field. • Proficiency in accounting software, preferably CDK or other automotive DMS. (preferred) • Understanding of GAAP principles and practices and revenue recognition. • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail. • Ability to prioritize multiple takes in a fast-paced environment. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work effectively and respectfully with all store departments. • High school diploma or equivalent. • Must be 18 years of age.
