Job Description
The manager will report to the Head of Pool (HoP) and will assist the HoP for the management of the pool by:
- Managing a small team of accountants with their portfolio of Real Estate clients (mainly Propcos and Holdco “entities”) as well as the relationship with the Global Client Delivery (GCD) assigned to this team:
- Review the bookkeeping of client’s portfolio prepared by the team or GCD and monitor clients’ requests/ assist in answering for the complex clients requests
- Review the annual financial statements and reportings prepared by the team or GCD
- Assist the team/client with the preparation of financial reporting and closing process
- Manage the relationship with the fund manager, the asset manager of the real estate, the property manager, the auditors, the tax advisor, the law firm and banks
- Review (and on occasion prepare) CIT and VAT returns and tax provisions calculation and monitor carefully the tax correspondence with the tax authorities
- Review and follow-up on BCL reports and FATCA reportings if applicable
- Assist in the liquidation process
- Manage the team organization for planning, HR (time report approval, annual evaluation process…) and KPI purposes as well as in the relation with the GCD
- Directorship mandates and attendance to the board meetings.
- Understanding structure of new clients’ investments, including the reporting and tax implications
- Supporting the team members to deliver the highest quality standard of service to clients
- Facilitate close collaboration with other departments, mostly the Corporate Secretarial and the Tax department and the GCD
- Utilising Technical support team / additional resources appropriately and where required
- Executing and ensuring timely delivery of quality services
- Checking and following up internal procedures
- Providing the team members with technical or process related trainings
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor/BAC+3: Accountancy/Business Administration
- At least 5-7 years of experience in Accounting and significant experience in Real Estate
- Computer/program knowledge: Microsoft office, Yardi knowledge, BOB or Demasy
- Strong technical accounting (Lux GAAP) skills are essential, IFRS and knowledge in any other GAAP (German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish) will be an asset
- Languages: Fluent in English, any other language would be an advantage (especially German)
