Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager (AM) manages and directs the company’s accounting activities and month end financial reporting. The AM owns the overall accounting function including revenue recognition, AR, AP, monthly close, consolidation, journal entries, reconciliations and financial statement preparation. The AM manages the accounting staff and maintains internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Manage the month end close of multiple entities, including international subsidiaries in foreign currencies, and month end consolidation 
• Maintain overall accuracy of the general ledger and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP
• Evaluate contracts and record revenue in accordance with ASC 606
• Develop and implement effective accounting policies, procedures and internal controls
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff
• Design and prepare monthly and other periodic financial reports
• Develop and implement business processes and policies to drive efficiencies and streamline processes
• Manage annual financial audits 
• Responsible for state sales tax and foreign VAT returns, coordinate with third-party tax professionals
• Other related duties as required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or related field
• Five plus years of accounting experience, including two years of management 
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Must be organized, detailed, accurate, able to prioritize and multitask
• Advanced abilities using Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, experience with Google Workspace preferred 
• Advanced knowledge of accounting systems, NetSuite preferred
• Familiarity with multi-company and multi-currency environment
