Job Description
Signature Projects is a Phoenix-based commercial general contractor specializing in a variety of sectors including retail build-outs, restaurants, tenant improvements, hospitality, and ground-up commercial developments. We’re looking for an experienced and detail-orientedAccounting Managerto join our dynamic team and support our continued growth.
The Accounting Manager is a full-time, high level accounting support position, functioning between the President and CFO, preparing quarterly GAAP financial reports, and providing internal control oversight. Construction accounting experience required.
Key Functions
• Help support operations with job cost control.
• Manage Job Costing Reports on ongoing basis.
• Track percentage of completion.
• Prepare for and coordinate quarterly compilation reports and annual financial reviews.
• Act as a liaison to the external CPA firm providing the compilations, review, and tax preparation engagements.
• Assist with account reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare quarterly accruals for percentage-of-completion GAAP entries.
• Partner with the management team to improve overall company performance, contribute to business strategy and planning
• Provide financial insight into operational initiatives and accounting and tax implications.
• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Manage Cost Completion and Percentage Completion reports.
• Oversee payroll & overhead budgets and control accordingly.
• Track receivable aging and pursue payments.
Qualifications
• Must have Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• 7+ years of previous accounting or audit experience.
• 2+ years of industry-specific experience with construction accounting.
• Maintenance, Repair, Replacement and Alteration (MRRA) accounting experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Project management software (ProCore), Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.
• Ability to run a WIP
• Must have experience in construction accounting
This is a full-time, in-office position located in midtown Phoenix. Hours areMonday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.Flexibility may be offered to qualified candidates depending on the circumstances of the request.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
