We are a rapidly growing Tax and Bookkeeping firm with various locations in Texas, that provides After the Fact Bookkeeping, Live Bookkeeping, Tax, and Representation services to our clients. The firm’s primary goal as a trusted advisor is to be available and to provide competent and insightful advice to enable our clients to make informed financial decisions and we are currently seeking an energetic, enthusiastic and motivated person with strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a time sensitive and detail-oriented environment with minimal supervision as an Accounting Manager
The successful candidate will possess the ability to effectively interact with clients and work in a team environment and must also have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Applicants should have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience with full charge accounting and be proficient in the following:
Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
Understanding of Financial Statements
Strong Organization and Communication Skills
Ability to Multitask in a professional Environment while ensuring all deadlines met
Proficiency in Microsoft products and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Accounting CS or similar)
Capacity to work with little supervision
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and reconciliations
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
Preparation of financial statements and reports
Help ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation as needed
Process journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accuracy of financial data
Process both live and after the fact payroll
Process quarterly and annual payroll reports
Process Sales Tax reports
Maintain records and notes in a Practice Management Software
Handling of more complex accounts
Train, coach and mentor accountants
Manage daily/weekly work allocations, balance workloads across team members and rebalance to remove bottlenecks
Communications – Monitoring and managing accounting emails.
Quality Review of Financial Statements prepared by team
Signing Reports – Serve as authorized signer for applicable compliance filings for offshore team (Sales Tax, 940, 941, etc)
Electronically filing quarterly and annual reports
Maintain Audit trails
New Account Setup – Ensure new clients are properly established with all the appropriate access points, including but not limited to READ ONLY access with client’s banks, EFTPS, TWC, etc
