Accounting Manager

Accounting Manager New, onsite, 2–3-month temp.opportunity with a local software development company! As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible managing a wide range of general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable journal entry, and reporting functions. This role plays a critical part in supporting monthly close, cash management, reconciliations, commissions, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and experience with ERP systems such as Acumatica. Accounting Manager Responsibilities: Billing & Commissions • Release billing invoices • Calculate and accrue monthly and quarterly commissions and service payouts. • Support Exeplex monthly service accrual and quarterly payout processes Cash Management • Prepare cash reports and process cash-related journal entries (transfers, wires, PR-related, taxes, merchant fees, bank fees, FSA, etc.) Accounts Payable & Review • Review credit memos • Review enhancements, Concur reports, and branch office commission reports • Validate AP entries for branch office commissions Reconciliations • Prepare account reconciliations for various balance sheet items including: • Medical/Dental/Vision • Prepaid Cobra • FSA (Spending & Dependent Care) • Accrued payroll, taxes payable, 401(k) payable • Due from branches, prepaid subcontractors, and customer deposits • Fixed assets & accumulated depreciation • Other liabilities (employee welfare and travel) reclasses Journal Entries (JE) • Prepare monthly and ad-hoc journal entries including: • PR cash reclassifications • Deferred revenue analysis (across practices and contracts) • F/A depreciation • 401(k) forfeiture entries Month-End Close & Reporting • Check account balances (e.g., 000-000 accounts) and ensure proper classifications • Create and maintain month-end checklists • Manage monthly close processes in Acumatica (AP, AR, Inventory, FA, CM, GL) • Review P&L and distribute reports to finance leadership and department managers • Prepare board packets, standalone financial reports, and forecasting reports General Responsibilities • Respond to internal and external emails related to accounting tasks • Ensure accurate and timely payment of corporate taxes • Assist with other ad hoc finance and accounting projects as needed Accounting Manager Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred • 5+ years of accounting experience • Experience with commissions, reconciliations, and accruals • Strong knowledge of GAAP and month-end close processes • Experience with Acumatica (or similar ERP system) • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY STATEMENT: Suna Solutions provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
