This boutique investment firm located in Alamo Heights is comprised of a portfolio of businesses and real estate endeavors. A fast-paced, exciting and interesting smaller business in growth mode is in search of an Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant with multi-entity accounting experience to join its team. It provides an incredible work environment with a nice office building in the Alamo Heights area and an opportunity to work with a smaller team of great people who are smart, entrepreneurial types in a business casual work environment.
Job Overview
The Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant will be primarily responsible for closing the books on all entities by the 10th of each month, reviewing and reconciling bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations and other balance sheet accounts as well as making necessary journal entries and preparing the financial statements. The position will also assist with the data analytics needed to manage each of the entities included in the holding company portfolio in order to identify opportunities to improve profitability and find efficiencies. This reporting and analytics is critical to the Owners of this portfolio as well as the General Managers of each of the businesses in finding efficiencies and helping to grow the bottom line for maximum profitability. The Accounting Manager will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (a CPA) and will ideally possess the following experience and skills:
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS PREFERRED
· Must have Bachelors Degree in Accounting
· Full cycle general ledger accounting experience including: Month end close process completed by deadline, balance sheet reconciliations and financial statement preparation and review
· Multi-entity accounting experience
· Balance sheet reconciliation experience a must including bank reconciliation and intercompany reconciliations between entities
· Assist with integration of new acquisitions as the organization will continue to grow and add new businesses to the portfolio
· Deadline oriented and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
· Exceptional excel skills
This position is in the office Monday through Friday. It qualifies for benefits such as paid time off, health insurance and the opportunity to participate in the company’s 401K. Salary based on experience, skills and education.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
