Accounting Manager

Title:Accounting Manager Location:San Diego, CA Industry: Technology Compensation$130,000-$150,000 + Bonus + RSUs Overview: A global technology leader is looking to bring on an Accounting Manager responsible for global accounting of operating expenses and costs. This role ensures compliance with internal controls, supports financial reporting requirements, and plays a key part in preparing quarterly and annual SEC filings.. Key Responsibilities: • Lead a global accounting function, directing processes for general ledger activities and financial reporting. • Oversee journal entries, account reconciliations, and controls tied to operating expenses. • Partner with technical accounting teams on complex or non-standard transactions. • Prepare and review data, statements, and schedules used in quarterly (10Q) and annual (10K) reporting. • Deliver financial analysis and present results in quarterly review meetings. • Engage with a broad range of stakeholders across Finance, Legal, HR, IT, Procurement, and other business units. • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and implement automation solutions. • Support accounting integration efforts for mergers, acquisitions, and related activities. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. • 12+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience within a global setting. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics to diverse audiences. • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams. • Hands-on, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment spanning multiple time zones. Preferred Qualifications: • Certified Public Accountant (CPA). • Prior experience in multinational, shared-service, or large corporate environments. • Exposure to international and multi-entity accounting. • Familiarity with Oracle or similar ERP platforms. • Background in driving systems implementations and process enhancements.
