Job Summary:
They are seeking an experienced and detail-orientedSenior Accountant or early career Accounting Managerto oversee the accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. They are open to a Sr. Accountant who is ready for the next step in their career.
CPA LICENSE REQUIRED AND BOTH PRIVATE AND PUBLIC ACCOUNTING IN TAX (BIG 4 EXPERIENCE PREFERRED).
THE POSITION IS A GROWTH ROLE BUT PLEASE DON'T APPLY IF YOU HAVE ALREADY ACHIEVED A CONTROLLERSHIP, DIRECTOR LEVEL OR CFO OR HAVE BEEN A MANAGER FOR YEARS, THIS ROLE IS NOT AT THAT LEVEL.
This position is responsible for managing daily accounting activities, supervising the accounting team, maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulations, and supporting strategic financial planning.
Key Responsibilities / Preferred Skills:
• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and journal entries in accordance with GAAP.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
• Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting processes.
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide needed documentation and assistance.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
• Train and supervise accounting staff and support professional development.
• Analyze financial data and present financial insights and recommendations to management.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and financial data analysis tools.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working in a family office or boutique environment.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Sage Intacct, Bill.com, Concur) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
