Accounts Receivable Manager - APAC

Your Role

Working from our flagship CBD headquarters you will lead the APAC Accounts Receivable (AR) team for CSL Seqirus, CSL Behring & CSL Vifor. You will ensure timely and effective collection of debt & allocation of customer payments. This role will also be the escalation point for collections and cash application issues, ad hoc customer queries and managing dispute resolution.

Your Responsibilities

Reporting to the AR Global Process Owner you will:

• Work closely with Commercial Operations to resolve customer queries and discuss customer financial health at a global level
• Manage difficult collection disputes and other collection escalations
• Lead, motivate and develop team members including effective long-term talent development and succession planning
• Support and respond to complex ad hoc requests (e.g., queries from finance, customer service teams, audit partners etc)
• Manage and resolve escalated customer collection & cash application queries
• Drive harmonization of Collection & Cash Application practices across CSL group
• Drive efficiencies within the AR team to maximise team performance and cross train team members to build capability across the region
• Complete Month end reporting including debt outstanding, team KPI's and Bad Debt Provisions
• Ensure all doubtful debt is recorded and communicated to the business
• Support/drive ad hoc projects or continuous improvement activities

Your Experience

• Experience managing a team within an AR function, ideally with a geographically dispersed team
• Knowledge of country specific legislation within APAC legislative framework would be an advantage
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance - preferred but not essential
• At least 4+ years' experience in accounting and finance including Accounts Receivable, Cash Applications and Collections
• Experience in global scientific/pharmaceutical industry highly desirable
• Sound interpersonal skills and some ability to influence, the ability to think through ambiguous issues
• Timely decision making, strong analytical thinking and organizational agility
• The position also requires the ability to build and maintain sound relationships and collaborate effectively with multiple levels and cross functionally with E2E Finance
