Summary
This position is a Administrative Support Assistant, GS- 0303-6/7 working in Cortland, NY for the R5-New York Ecological Services Field Office.
This position is also open to status candidates under announcement R5-24-12519658-AW-MP. You must apply to each announcement separately if you wish to be considered under both recruitment methods.

Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position you must possess the Minimum Qualification.
Minimum Qualification [GS-06]
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-5 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes: (1) Using various word processing and spreadsheet software to create document and spreadsheets; (2) Assisting with procurement of services and supplies; (3) Assisting with the preparation/reviewing of travel vouchers; (4) Serving as a timekeeper using an automated timekeeping system; (5) Independently preparing forms, documents, correspondence; and (6) Assisting in the preparation of budgets. NOTE: Your resume must contain sufficient information in these areas to be found qualified.
Minimum Qualification [GS-07]
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes: (1) Using various word processing and spreadsheet software to create documents and spreadsheets; (2) Purchase supplies and equipment; (3) Preparing travel vouchers and advising on travel regulations and procedures; (4) Budget related duties including tracking budget and financial data; and (5) Preparing and reviewing correspondence and/or reports requiring prescribed formats, proper grammar and spelling. NOTE: Your resume must contain sufficient information in these areas to be found qualified.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
