Agile Project Manager

Overview: Reports to:Domain Manager, Agile Project Management Functions Supervised:None Primary Functions:Responsible for the timely delivery of high-quality product solutions that drive key business strategies. Leads a cross functional development team through all phases of the product development process, from discovery, through development, to product launch. Utilizes a toolbox of Agile practices, Project Management processes, and facilitation skills to predictably produce high-quality releases. Responsible for creating agile plans, reporting status to management, resolving critical project issues, and building an effective Product Delivery Team (PDT). A member of a broader team that drives process improvements, especially Agile improvements, across the entire organization. Duties and Responsibilities: • Leads the PDT through all phases of the Development process. • Facilitates all ceremonies seeking to create a regular rhythm of demonstration, feedback, and improvement. • Identifies and drives implementation of continuous improvements within the project team. • Proactively identifies and helps to resolve issues that impact achievement of team commitments. • Regularly reports overall project status to management and key stakeholders, escalating major issues as necessary. • Maintains a project repository of historical and current project information. • Maintains a register of all project agendas, minutes, decisions, risks, and mitigations. • Facilitates team meetings and other day-to-day activities as required by the team. • Ensures the team is fully functional, cooperating, and productive. • Shields team from external interferences and removes obstacles. • Administers and manages business relationships with the project’s external consultants and third parties ensuring they meet their project obligations. • Suggests and implements improvements to project management, product development and other organizational processes. • Collaborates with the Product Owner and provides the PDT a concise vision and creates a positive team environment.Qualifications: Education:Bachelor's degree in a technology, engineering, business, management, or finance related field. Certification in one or more industry standards such as PMP, PMO, CSPO, SCRUM, PMI-ACP, CSP, CSM, CEC, or SAFe strongly preferred. Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education:Not Applicable Experience/Skills:Minimum of eight years progressive experience in Information Technology with at least five years’ experience in a project management role utilizing Agile practices. Experience in leading and developing teams using a variety of Agile practices including, but not limited to, SCRUM, Kanban, and SAFe. Product development experience preferred. Tenure:Not ApplicableCompensation: Agile Project Manager (Category 06) Salary Pay Range:$100,331 - $172,572 annually. Starting base salary will be determined based on position, experience, education, and local or state wage requirements, if applicable and will fall within the range provided above.
