Job Description
Expedient is excited to announce an opening for an AI Data Engineer on our team. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of Expedient's AI-driven services, focusing on the data aspects of AI application development using the Elastic platform. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, and the Elastic platform's built-in vector database. They should also have experience building RAG applications using Elastic.
This role demands a candidate with a profound depth of technical knowledge, a passion for AI-driven solutions, and a zest for continuous learning. Travel for this position is estimated at 10% of the time.

RESPONSIBILITIES of the AI Data Engineer:
• Collaborate with the lead AI Architect to build Enterprise-grade AI applications using the Elastic platform as a core element of the data infrastructure
• Serve as the top technical resource for all aspects data storage, access, and flow within the AI stack and across multiple data storage platforms
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and integrate them with our Elastic-based solutions.
• Produce comprehensive documentation detailing the functionality and architecture of developed solutions.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in AI, machine learning, and Elastic platform development
• Prioritize tasks effectively in high-pressure situations.
REQUIREMENTS of the AI Data Engineer:
• Extensive experience with the Elastic / ELK Stack platform
• Extensive experience in the development of Elastic based reporting solutions
• Experience configuring and performance tuning large Elastic clusters
• Strong understanding of Elasticsearch index optimization
• Experience building production-grade visualizations in Kibana
• Deep understanding of document level security, workplace search, and datastreams
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think algorithmically.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
PREFERRED SKILLS of the AI Data Engineer:
• Experience in building RAG applications using Elastic.
• Experience working with Large Language Models to build consumable applications.
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
•Familiarity with open-source AI libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Salary for this position is directly aligned with your technical skills and experience. Annual salary range for this position is estimated at $100,000 to $130,000
