Your Role and Responsibilities

AIX Admin providing day-to-day administration maintenance and support for the organization’s AIX-based systems and infrastructure. This role works closely with senior administrators and cross-functional teams to ensure the stability performance and security of the AIX environment… You will need to visit the domestic client’s offices / data centres on a daily basis or on an as-needed basis as part of this role.

Role and Responsibilities

AIX installation/Upgradation/Patch Management
NIM based installation and administration.
Hardware health checkup/Logs Collection
System Monitoring/Performance Monitoring/data collection.
Start/Stop reboot OS as and when required.
LVM File-System and NFS Management.
Storage Attachment and multi-pathing Configuration and User Administration.
OS Hardening as per Client/Audit Security policy.
Develop and maintain documentation about current environment setup standard operating procedures and best practices.
Schedule Jobs/cron and System backup and restores
BCP activities and Support.
PowerHA Installation/Configuration/Start/Stop/Administration
LPAR Creation and Administration.
VIO installation and configuration
Resource Management and DLPAR operations.
Trouble shooting any problem data collection.
Raise and track Service Requests with IBM/OEM.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

5 years and a minimum of 3 years’ experience on AIX system administration.
AIX administration as given below rather than “ticket” based administration experience.
Candidates on the L2 Category should have 2-3 years relevant experience.
Candidates should have good verbal and written communication skills.
Candidates should be willing to work on 24×7 and on-call support during critical issues.
Candidates should have eagerness to learn new technologies and skills.
He / She should be hardworking with strong work ethics and discipline.
All the Candidates should have any of the following educational qualifications.
3 Years regular Diploma from a recognized technical institution
BCA/BSc IT/BSc Computer Science / BE./ B.Tech Graduation
