Analyst Data - PRN

Overview: Works with teams, senior Directors and Nurse Managers in Planning, Operating and organizing data to improve patient outcomes as it relates to identified nursing indicators. The Sr. Data Analyst has responsibility for directing performance for assigned departments, as well as overseeing and conducting indicator data analysis including benchmarking and trending performance of the indicators. This position works with departments/teams supporting indicators to ensure accuracy and integration of data from various sources. Organizes and coordinates data management activities, including further research on data variances. Prepares, presents and works closely with staff responsible for data collection and others throughout the hospital that prepare, analyze or act on data related to nursing quality indicators or utilization of patient care services. Qualifications:Required Education: Bachelor's Degree or Associate's and a minimum five years extensive data analysis experience. Preferred Education: PA, MHA, MBA, MPH or MPA. Necessary Skills: 1. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. 2. Decision-making/problem-solving skills 3. Able to evaluate user requests to define course of action, investigate solutions and question assumptions. 4. Decision-making & problem-solving skills. 5. Required Experience: 1-2 years - Data aggregation analysis and display.
