About the Role

The overall goal of the Indirect Procurement/Logistics Analyst position is to support the team in data analytics regarding supplier and business performance, contract attributes, planned vs actual activities, and management of supplier agreements. The Analyst will support the Indirect Procurement and Logistics departments.

The Analyst will develop “value-added” knowledge and expertise to support both internal and external clients. The Analyst may also facilitate indirect procurement transactions between internal stakeholders and suppliers

Primary Responsibilities

• Create reports for internal teams and/or external clients
• Collaborate with team members to collect and analyze data
• Use graphs, infographics, and other methods to visualize data
• Structure large data sets to find usable information
• Track and communicate savings achieved from cost reduction initiatives which include sourcing events, and value engineering projects to determine the effectiveness
• Support risk management assessment relating to supplier vulnerability, sourcing options, and material availability
• Collect and validate spending data to track price variance and procurement savings for budget adjustment and financial reporting
• Support logistics and transportation spending data collection and analysis
• Assist logistics and transportation service providers with KPI reports
• Support the Indirect Procurement Manager to coordinate purchases of VM / POSM
• Support the management and distribution of comprehensive RFI / RFP / RFQs to potential suppliers
• Compare and summarize RFP responses and distribute results to appropriate stakeholders
• Other projects and commodity responsibilities as assigned by Management
• Support and ensure follow-up when required with 3PLs, Services Providers, and Carriers

Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, information technology, Industrial Engineering, Finance, or a related field preferred
• 1+ years of experience in a data analyst or relevant role
• Expert with Microsoft Excel and various business intelligence and analytical tools such as Power BI or Tableau or equivalent
