The Opportunity:

The Operations Financial Analyst is primarily responsible for operational and finance support through routine reporting and ad hoc analysis. This position directs the capture, flow, and monitoring of Ensemble’s key initiatives, develops initiative tracking and trending tools for management and assists in establishment of performance goals/objectives. In this role, the analyst will maintain direct communication with project stakeholders and ensure responsible parties meet project deadlines.  

Job Responsibilities:

Position Control 

  • Daily review of Workday and Fresh Service for position requests to current budget/forecast or productivity-based considerations, ensuring proper justification is in place, and ensuring the replacement is not for a previously close position. Creating job requisitions within Workday. 

  • Weekly call(s) with operations leadership, HR, and financial leadership review status of positions 

  • Collaboration with operations and HR leadership in provided business justification to support need for leadership roles 

Monthly Business & Financial Review 

  • Analyze and explain on a monthly basis cost center variances between actual and budgeted/forecasted labor expenses, including direct labor expense (associates under Ensemble’s employment) as well as reimbursed and third party/global labor expenses 

  • Identify opportunities to optimize or reduce labor expenses without compromising performance (ex. Reduce overtime expense by recommending changes in staffing schedules) 

Quarterly Forecast 

  • Forecast FTEs and labor expenses for the rest of the year (and into the following year) on a quarterly basis 

  • Includes direct labor expense (associates under Ensemble’s employment) as well as reimbursed and third party/global labor expenses 

  • Incorporate latest understandings around business needs, initiatives, etc.  

  • Explain variances between updated forecast and prior forecasts/budgets 

Annual Operating Plan/Budget 

  • Quantify FTE and labor expense impact associated with the organization’s annual operating plan and budget development process 

  • This may include technology-driven efficiencies or changes in the way labor is sourced domestically or globally 

  • Capture impact in annual department budget 

  • Explain variance between current year results and budget for coming year 

Staffing Models 

  • Responsible for coordinating with operations, STO, and HR to complete any necessary tasks related to new business staffing models 

  • This includes initial compilation of projected staffing needs, as well as any refinement post-assessment 

  • Additionally, responsible for collaborating with HR on posting positions and ensuring proper transfers occur 

Productivity Tracking 

  • Responsible for maintaining the productivity benchmarking and analyzing productivity results/trends at the enterprise and department level 

  • This includes identifying areas for efficiency improvement and work with department leaders to track progress. 

  • Work with department leaders to ensure accuracy of benchmarked productivity standards 

  • Assist finance and technology team in maintaining data loads from ancillary systems as necessary 

Additional Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify operational performance and financial opportunities through detailed data review 
  • Ensure effective monitoring and reporting controls are in place to improve performance 
  • Evaluation of current processes and tools and propose changes in order to drive efficiencies within the organization 
  • Coordinate operational and financial objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans 
  • This position will be proactive in auditing and reconciling his/her own data findings, report results in order to maintain/improve the quality and integrity data provided by the analyst 

Experience:

• 1+ years of customer service experience

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelors Degree or Equivalent Experience in Finance / Accounting 

Certifications:

• CRCR Required within 9 months of hire (Company Paid)
