Job Description

If you love data and creative problem-solving, this is the role for you! As the Strategic Finance Analyst, you will have a front row seat to help shape strategy and business decisions for the largest digital publisher in the US. Reporting to the Manager of Strategic Finance you will work in a creative and collaborative environment, using data to deliver actionable insights and inform strategic decisions for Dotdash Meredith. You will partner with editorial teams, expert product engineers, strategy, and other revenue and data analytics teams to work on word class brands like PEOPLE, All Recipes, Travel + Leisure, The Spruce, InStyle, and many more to drive measurable results
II. Essential Job Functions | Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results

• Develop an understanding of business goals, questions, and the overall health of the business by building ad-hoc and automated reporting.
• Ideate new products, experiences, and process improvements. Be proactive about surfacing opportunities for optimization.
• Gather and analyze data to come up with compelling proposals. Analysis may include user engagement, sessions, ad revenue, competitive research, and forecasting.
• Design and present effective data visualizations, models, and business plans to key stakeholders to help them make decisions.
• Track project results from start to finish.
• Have ownership over business problems and requests until resolution.
• Participate in quarterly and annual planning by providing ad hoc data gathering, analysis, and recommendations.
• Design and maintain automated reporting and dashboards to help stakeholders monitor key metrics, trends, and performance.

III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, Data Analytics, Data Science, Digital Marketing, Business Administration,
or related field or equivalent training and/or experience.
Experience:

• 1-3 years of relevant experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, data analytics, financial modeling, or financial analysis.
  Must be adept at managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  Must be a self-motivated individual with the ability to identify issues/opportunities for improvement and be proactive in addressing them.
  Strong communication, attention to detail, comfort working with and presenting to internal stakeholders.

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Advanced experience with spreadsheet tools like Excel and Google Sheets; comfortable analyzing large datasets is a must.
  Preferred experience includes: familiarity with web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics) or data visualization tools (Looker) and understanding of HTML/JavaScript.

Pay Range
Salary: $80000 - $100000
The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
