Overview

CHI Health and Creighton University School of Medicine are seeking a quality driven, patient–centered Anesthesiologist to join our team in Omaha, Nebraska. The practice offers the ability to work alongside colleagues, teach medical students and surgery residents while practicing and directing CRNAs in a full-spectrum practice. This opportunity is well-suited for physicians seeking a diverse practice, including trauma.

This opportunity offers:

  • Team of 18 FT physicians and 45 CRNA's
  • 391 bed - Level I Trauma Center
  • Academic Facility
  • Care team model with medical direction of CRNAs
  • Accreditation in process for Anesthesia residency program and SRNA program
  • Wide variety of cases including General, Trauma, Ortho, Endo, Vascular, Urology, OB, Neuro and Cardiac
  • Acute Pain Service
  • EPIC EMR
  • Academic appointment available, if desired, from Creighton University School of Medicine
  • Team covers main CUMC campus in addition to CHI Midlands Health Ambulatory Surgery Center

Job Requirements:

  • Comfortable Supervising CRNA's
  • ABA Board certified or Board eligible
  • Ability to obtain Nebraska Licensure
  • ACLS and BLS certification

Responsibilities
  • Patient Care:
    • Diagnose and treat various medical conditions.
    • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
    • Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories.
  • Communication:
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
    • Provide clear and concise medical information.
    • Foster a collaborative and patient-centered approach to healthcare.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
    • Document medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
    • Ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations.
  • Diagnostic Procedures:
    • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging.
    • Perform procedures as needed
    • Collaborate with specialists for further diagnostic evaluation.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
    • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
