Anesthesiologist Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage at Facility in Atlanta, Georgia

A large hospital is seeking an anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage.

This position offers a Monday through Friday schedule with the option to work a combination of 10-hour shifts, from 7 AM to 5 PM. The cases primarily involve ASA 3 and 4 patients, including some with LVAD devices. Surgical specialties include general surgery, urology, gynecology and gyn-oncology, ENT, plastics, kidney transplant, surgical oncology, minor vascular, and minor neurosurgery, with major vascular and neurosurgery cases managed by faculty anesthesiologists. Comfort with "off-site anesthesia" is essential, as responsibilities extend to the endoscopy suite (GI procedures, interventional pulmonary), interventional radiology suite, and TEE/cardioversion. No block experience or OB coverage is required. This role operates within an Anesthesia Care Team (ACT) model, supervising anesthetists.
