Job Description
We're looking for a versatile, dynamic Animator to join our Production Studio.
As an Animator, you'll bring client stories to life through beautiful, expressive animation. You'll need to come equipped with polished motion graphics and animation skills, as well as a willingness to assist our account leads in building and maintaining strong, trusted relationships with our clients.
In this position, you'll work directly with clients on a variety of projects. For at least the first year, you'll spend the majority of your time working on a coordinated campaign for one of our largest pharma clients, but you may be called upon to assist with other work as needs and capacity dictate. Confidence in your work and the ability to give professional suggestions are musts. We'll also expect you to develop concepts, produce pre-visualization assets, adapt technical approaches throughout projects, and professionally package animated content for clients.
Responsibilities
As an Animator, you will:
- Help others see your vision. Produce high-quality pre-visualization assets for client review including sketches, style frames, storyboards, and animatics.
- Make moves. Animate characters, graphics, and other elements to clearly communicate core messages and key concepts through captivating visual storytelling.
- Communicate your ideas. You'll need excellent oral and written communication, listening, organization, and presentation skills.
- Juggle competing priorities. You'll manage multiple projects and tasks of varying complexities to meet deadlines. Actual juggling skills are a bonus.
- Be an active listener. Participate in internal and client-facing discussions to understand project goals and define creative needs. Once production kicks off, incorporate feedback and make edits to realize the creative vision and achieve client goals.
- Study the craft. You stay up to date on animation and marketing industry trends, insights, and emerging technologies - and share and implement those lessons for client and agency projects.
- Build bridges. You know how to work with other team members, clients, contractors, and partner agencies, and they love you - or at least love how you collaborate.
- Work quickly, flexibly, and intelligently. Meet tight deadlines without sacrificing quality or attention to detail. You are a critical thinker with the ability to work on projects from concept to completion.

What you'll need
- At least three years of motion graphics experience, preferably within an agency or production company
- Strong understanding of:
- Animation principles
- Typography
- Color
- Design
- Composition
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including:
- After Effects
- Premiere Pro
- Photoshop
- Illustrator
- Experience with character animation
- Demonstrated ability to work within client brand guidelines
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Bonus skills / experience:
- Illustration
- Ability to do quality, clean hand-drawn 2D animation
- Cinema 4D or Maya
- Redshift and Octane
- Previous experience working with clients in regulated healthcare / pharma industries
