Job Description Summary
We are seeking a Nashville based Front-End Web Developer to join our Private Wealth Team in Global Technology & Operations.
Team/Group Description
The Private Wealth Development team supports the Private Wealth Sales, Wealth Management, Marketing and Operations departments.
Role Description
This position will be responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, deploying, and supporting applications to enhance the business/operational processes in use by Private Wealth clients, advisors, associates, and operations. The ideal candidate must have experience in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript. Knowledge of SASS, Svelte/Sveltekit, Webpack, Vite, Material Design, NodeJS, .NET/C#, and SQL is highly desired. The candidate must be a natural problem solver, have strong communication and interpersonal skills.

The Private Wealth Technology team develops Web applications that help our clients stay informed of their investments and support our sales teams in every aspect of their interactions with clients. The team develops and supports Web, Windows, and Mobile applications as well as the APIs utilized by these and other internal systems.
Key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to
Designing, developing, deploying, and supporting proprietary applications utilizing a diverse set of leading-edge technologies.
The team's applications are large and complex. Your primary responsibilities vary from: (1) develop new user-facing features; (2) build reusable code and libraries for future use; (3) ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs; (4) optimize application for maximum speed and scalability; (5) collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.

As a member of the Private Wealth Development team, you will work with state-of-the-art technologies to create applications that solve complex financial issues for clients and support advisors and their teams in their interactions with clients. This integration of technical and financial skills makes the position both highly challenging and interesting.

All members of the team are given unrestricted access to the leading online training providers, including Pluralsight, and all team members are required to complete a minimum number of hours of training per year.
Job Qualifications (The ideal candidate should have the following)
Qualifications, Experience, Education:
- Bachelor's degree in CS or related field
- At least 3 years of professional experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Skills:
Required:
- HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle in agile model
- Domain expertise in SCSS, enterprise level architecture, specificity, and BEM conventions.
- Strong knowledge of solving browser/device edge cases and issues and creativity to work around them
- Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
- Understanding of code versioning tools, like Git
- Experienced with a JavaScript framework (Svelte, React, Vue, etc.,)
- Strong understanding of accessibility standards
Desirable:
- C#, SQL, REST
- Working with APIs
- Unit Testing and Linting
- Node versioning manager
- Google's Material Design principles
- Experience with StorybookJS
- An eye for design, and some experience with creating prototype in Figma to collaborate closely with UX team
- Browserstack, webpack code splitting, chrome debugging tools
- Ability to work on web core vitals and how to mitigate issues
