AOI Operator

Position Summary: Responsible for all aspects of AOI machine operation. Qualifications/Skills: · Quality control and part identification experience. · Successful completion of ESD Safety training and IPC-A-610 certification. · Must exhibit knowledge and/or skill in operating equipment used in the area. · Good communication skills. · Proficient in computer usage. · Ability to read and understand assembly prints. · Ability to read and comprehend English. Responsibilities: · Reviews AOI inspections for accurate, consistent detection of component placement and solder joint defects. · Loads programs per documentation. · Uses magnification aids and stereo-microscopes, inspects populated printed circuit boards, and identifies component misplacement and solder defects to IPC-A-610 standards. · Recognizes problems in the operation process or with components and to highlight/communicate those problems to the technician/ engineering department for immediate correction. Work Environment: The work environment is typical of a manufacturing setting where hazardous materials may be present. Security investigations may be conducted to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and/or work areas.
