In this role you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers) where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
We are looking for a skilled Commerce Transformation Developer to join our team in Romania. In this role you will be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining backend frontend and APIs for enterprise-grade e-commerce platforms.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend developers architects and business analysts to deliver high-quality and scalable solutions that meet our clients' needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain backend solutions using enterprise grade commerce engines ensuring scalability performance and reliability.
- Design and implement APIs and integrations with third-party systems (e.g. payment gateways ERP and CRM).
- Participate in requirements gathering solution design and technical workshops with stakeholders.
- Write clean reusable and well-documented code following best practices.
- Perform unit testing and assist in debugging and troubleshooting issues.
- Optimise backend processes for performance and scalability.
- Stay updated on commerce platforms and features and industry trends to drive innovation.
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in backend development with and javascript and typescript (node.js angular/react) technologies.
- Hands-on experience with commercetools and other modern headless customer engagement and e-commerce platforms.
- Strong understanding of MACH architecture principles and their application customer experience.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs experience with GraphQL
- Experience integrating with third-party systems (e.g. payment processors logistics providers enterprise-resource planning systems …).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or GCP.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of java is a plus
- Experience with database technologies (SQL NoSQL) and data modeling.

- Ability to work in an agile environment and adapt to changing requirements.
