In this role you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers) where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Application Developer – Oracle eBS to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite system administration across UNIX/Linux and Windows platforms and Japanese language proficiency (JLPT N3 or higher). This role includes a short-term onsite assignment in Japan offering valuable cross-cultural experience and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop customize and maintain Oracle E-Business Suite (eBS) applications based on business requirements
- Perform system configuration patching and troubleshooting across UNIX/Linux and Windows environments
- Collaborate with Japanese stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions
- Participate in system testing documentation and deployment activities
- Provide post-deployment support and issue resolution
- Ensure compliance with security and operational standards
- Adapt quickly to Japanese work culture and contribute effectively during the onsite assignment
- JLPT N3 or higher Japanese language proficiency (verbal and written communication)
- Hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (eBS) development and support
- Strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux and Windows operating systems
- Willingness and flexibility to relocate to Japan for a short-term assignment (6 months to 2 years)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
- JLPT N2 or native-level Japanese proficiency
- Prior experience working with Japanese clients or in Japan
- Familiarity with PL/SQL Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports
- Experience in global delivery models and multicultural environments
