Position Summary:

The Application Engineer is responsible for supporting all Imaging, Navigation, Robotics products and affiliated services. The Application Engineer will be responsible for remotely supporting all field-based robotics installations including, but not limited to: troubleshooting, triaging service requests, collecting feedback from the field, and event-related software investigations for the Excelsius platform. This position requires knowledge of the operating room, functionality of capital equipment, software troubleshooting and strong communication skills.

Essential Functions:

  • Developing in depth technical knowledge of Imaging, Navigation, Robotics products as well as applicable procedures, anatomy, and implant products
  • Providing remote support for implant reps, CSRs and surgeons at INR system installations
  • Collecting feedback from the field and triage to necessary internal groups
  • Supporting in-house surgeon labs and training when needed
  • Willingness to learn each INR department's role and how they work together to provide excellent customer service
  • Adhering to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies. Ensure Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
  • Representing the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties of Globus

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years' engineering experience; Bachelor's Degree, Engineering preferred
  • Experience troubleshooting remotely via phone and other technologies a plus
  • Knowledge of the operating room environment
  • Ability to collaborate and influence others
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Ability to attend surgeries and/or labs
