About the position 

• Design and implement data science and machine learning capabilities to bring value to our users and solve business challenges
• Work on mining and analysing huge sets of data to support our teams with making better data informed decision and optimize our processes across the company
• Own and further develop our in-house models in many different areas such as inventory classification, search engine optimisation, recommendations or fraud detections

Qualifications

What we are looking for

• 5+ years of experience in building data science models using ML and DL libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, PyTorch, Transformers, PySpark)
• 3+ years of experience data mining with large volumes of data
• Strong programming skills (Python)
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills
• Experience with ML models lifecycle management to expose models into production environments (deployment, retraining)
• Experience with MLOps tools (e.g. MLFlow, Google Vertex AI) is a big plus
• Ability to work well across different teams and to deal with ambiguity
• Attention to detail in complex environments
• Strong dedication to drive change with a positive can-do attitude
• Capable of investigating, familiarizing and mastering new data sets quickly
• Ability to clearly explain complex topics to technical as well as non-technical audiences
• Proactive approach to learn and find solutions outside direct area of competence
• Fluency in English both written and verbal, German is a plus
• Eager to keep up to date and leverage latest ML technologies in a broad and challenging business environment
