Easy Nest is looking to hire multiple Apprentice Carpenters / Laborers. Our mission is to make quality housing accessible by building better new homes and remodeling existing ones.
Job Summary
We are seeking Apprentice Carpenters / Laborers to join our team. The ideal candidates will have am understanding of various carpentry tasks and a passion for building and restoration. This role involves working on diverse projects, including residential and commercial construction, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Duties
• Do demolition work, and drop off garbage at the dump
• Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, wallboard and similar
• Perform tile laying and fixture installation as required for various projects.
• Work with siding materials to enhance the exterior of buildings.
• Construct and install various materials of handrails and stairs
• Execute frame carpentry tasks to create the structural framework for buildings.
• Install cabinets and other built-in furniture with attention to detail.
• Participate in restoration/remodel projects, bringing old structures back to life.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, including electricians/plumbers/HVAC, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
• Some experience/knowledge of the construction industry.
• Some knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods, including framing, appliance installation, and finishing work.
• Some familiarity with tile laying, fixture installation, siding application, cabinet installation, and restoration practices is highly desirable.
• Some knowledge/skills in using hand tools and power tools safely.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project specifications is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Computer skills for navigating emails, transferring files, updating calendars and similar.
• Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor for extended periods.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $20.76 - $55.20 per hour
