Apprentice Commercial Electrician

Overview We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Apprentice Electrician to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the electrical field while working under the guidance of experienced electricians. The Apprentice Electrician will assist in various electrical tasks on construction sites, contributing to both commercial and industrial projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in electrical work, blueprint reading, and safety practices. Duties • Assist licensed electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in industrial and commercial settings. • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements. • Support the installation of low voltage and high voltage systems as directed. • Conduct tests using an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools to ensure proper functionality of electrical systems. • Follow National Electrical Code (NEC) guidelines to maintain compliance with safety standards. • Participate in site preparation, including frame carpentry tasks as needed. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. Requirements • Previous experience as an industrial or commercial electrician is preferred but not mandatory. • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical equipment is essential. • Understanding of low voltage and high voltage systems is a plus. • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents effectively. • Experience working on construction sites is beneficial. • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety practices. • Willingness to learn from experienced electricians and take direction effectively. • A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential for success in this role.
