Area Sales Manager

The opportunity

We are looking for an Area Sales Manager at Hitachi Energy, Transformers business in Vaasa. You will participate in sales strategy discussions and create sales plans for the assigned area. In this position, you will be analyzing customer needs and competitors' offers based on general market information and Hitachi Energy databanks, and with the help of local sales organizations.

This role will offer you to interact with our salespersons globally. You will participate in and/or lead global and local workshops related to improving products, systems and ways of working.

How you'll make an impact

• Communicating the value propositions of Hitachi Energy products, systems and services for transformers
• Supporting local sales organizations and customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions
• Providing technical support in technical meetings, product presentations and negotiations
• Defining sales prices based on market prices and cost calculations
• Entering and maintaining sales and customer information into Hitachi Energy's sales tools and CRM systems
• Conducting review meetings for customer opportunities and kick-offs (hand-overs for projects that have been won)
• Providing after-sales support in resolving customers' issues and first-order analysis

Your background

• A B.Sc. or M.Sc. in engineering or business administration
• A few years' experience in a relevant position
• Good skills with Microsoft Office applications. Skills with Salesforce is a plus.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English. Good written and spoken skills in Finnish and Swedish are seen as an advantage.
• Ideally you have basic knowledge of electrical systems, especially of transformers
