Job Description

Armed Security Captain Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): • Maintain a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, and visitors while performingarmed supervisory security duties. • Supervise and support assigned officers to ensure compliance withProsegur,client, andTexas Department of Public Safety – Private Security Bureau (DPS-PSB)regulations. • Promote safety by identifying, reporting, and assisting in correcting potential hazards or unsafe conditions. • Enforce post orders, company policies, and client-specific instructions with professionalism and integrity. • Provide on-the-job training, guidance, and performance feedback to officers. • Conduct patrols, inspections, and incident response to maintain site readiness and ensure officer accountability. • Prepare accurate written reports, daily activity logs, and incident documentation as required. • Interact with clients, visitors, and employees in a professional, customer-service-oriented manner. • Perform routine foot or vehicle patrols, moderate lifting, and work in various weather conditions as an Armed Security Captain.Additional Requirements: • Must comply withProsegur,client, andTexas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Level IIIarmed security licensing regulations. • Possess avalid/current Texas Level III Armed Security Licenseissued by DPS-PSB. • Maintain an appropriatefirearm, holster, and duty gearin compliance with DPS standards. • Completion of requiredLevel III classroom and firearms proficiency training.Qualifications: Required • Minimum21 years of age(per Texas DPS armed licensing requirements). • High School Diploma or GED. • Valid Level III (Commissioned) Security Licenseissued by the Texas Department of Public Safety. • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. • Ability to follow instructions, complete assigned tasks, and respond appropriately to incidents. • Willingness to participate in a background check, drug screening, and licensing compliance process. Preferred • Priorsupervisory or leadership experiencein security, law enforcement, or a related field. • Knowledge of security operations, emergency response, and post-order enforcement. • Basic to intermediatecomputer skills(Microsoft Office, report systems, and incident tracking software).
