Armed Security Officer

Mil-Spec Safety & Security, LLC is actively seeking highly professional and reliable Armed Security Officers to join our growing team. Candidates must be vigilant, responsible, and committed to maintaining a secure and safe environment for our clients, staff, and the public. Requirements: • Must possess a valid PA Act 235 certification. • Must have your own duty gear and firearm (9 mm semiautomatic pistol preferred) • Must be at least 21 years of age • Must have a clean criminal background and be legally permitted to carry a firearm in Pennsylvania • Must pass pre-employment and random drug screening • Must have reliable transportation to and from assigned site(s) • High school diploma or equivalent required • Prior military, law enforcement, or security experience required. Key Responsibilities: • Provide a visible armed presence to deter and detect suspicious or criminal activity • Conduct regular patrols of client property, including buildings, parking lots, and surrounding areas • Monitor surveillance equipment and access points • Enforce site-specific rules and regulations • Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents with appropriate use of force and de-escalation techniques • Prepare accurate, detailed incident and daily activity reports • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, law enforcement, and emergency services • Maintain professional appearance and demeanor at all times What We Offer: • Flexible scheduling (day, evening, overnight, weekend shifts available) • Supportive team environment with growth opportunities • Competitive pay based on experience and site assignment Job Type: Contract Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Experience: • Security: 1 year (Required) License/Certification: • Act 235 (Required) Ability to Commute: • Philadelphia, PA 19130 (Required) Work Location: In person
