Armed Security Officer

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations. As an Armed Security Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring premises, enforcing security protocols, and ensuring the safety of individuals on site. Responsibilities • Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity. • Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to identify potential security threats. • Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action. • Enforce company policies and procedures related to security and safety protocols. • Provide assistance during emergencies, including administering CPR and first aid as necessary. • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required for investigations or incidents. • Maintain detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations for record-keeping purposes. • Engage in conflict management strategies to de-escalate potential disturbances or confrontations. • Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance skills in loss prevention and surveillance techniques. Skills • Proven experience in law enforcement or security roles is preferred. • Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable. • Proficient in operating CCTV systems and other surveillance equipment. • Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. • Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and techniques is a plus. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent observational skills with attention to detail. • Military experience or training may be beneficial for this role.
