Armed Security Officer (Part-Time) ARMED SECURITY OFFICER Location:Chicago, IL Schedule:Part-time / Monday-Sunday 4pm-8pm or 5pm-9pm Pay:$20.00 per hour Do you hold a current PERC AND FOID certification and take pride in your professionalism? We’re looking for a reliable and observant Armed Security Officer to join our Chicago-based team. This role offers consistent, part-time weekday and weekend hours, a supportive environment, and the opportunity to protect and serve in a highly visible position. What You’ll Do: • Patrol assigned interior/exterior areas by foot, vehicle, or bike • Monitor surroundings and report suspicious activity • Respond quickly to incidents in line with company policy and use-of-force guidelines • Write detailed reports and maintain daily activity logs (DARs) • Enforce site policies, post orders, and client rules • Support customer service needs at front desks, loading docks, or other key locations • Stay informed on site-specific emergency protocols What You Need: • Active IL PERC card • Active IL FOID card • Current IL Armed Security Training Certificate (40-hour training) • Gun permit • Personal firearm, level 2+ holster, and duty belt • High school diploma or equivalent • At least 1–3 years of experience in security (armed), law enforcement, military, or customer service preferred • Strong written communication for report writing • Reliable transportation to and from the site • Ability to pass a background check Bonus If You Have: • Military background or relevant college education • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (if required for the post) • Ability to pass a drug test (if required for the site) #IND1
